Following Leonid Iskhakov, Dr. Omar Ahmed is another key member of the Apex Neurology team. With extensive training from the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, and the Medical College of Ohio, Dr. Ahmed has a broad base of knowledge and a deep commitment to patient care. He completed his internal medicine residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland and a neurology residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey. His fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation specialized in nerve regeneration and surgical research. Dr. Ahmed is known for his patient-first philosophy and thorough approach to diagnosis and treatment, making sure each patient fully understands their condition and treatment options.

Omar Ahmed M.D.
Omar Ahmed, MD MBA is a leading neurologist in New York City. He is the first and only American and European board certified neurologist in private practice.
Omar Ahmed M.D. did residencies in internal medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland and neurology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He founded Northern Medical Care and its Apex Neurology offices are located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island.
Omar Ahmed M.D. also completed a research fellowship in surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He studied nerve regeneration and published the chapter on transplantation in the Handbook of Plastic Surgery. Dr Ahmed offers cosmetic services in Manhattan and Long Island.
Omar Ahmed M.D. is known for his attentive bedside manner and explaining disorders and treatments in detail, ensuring patient understanding of their condition and prognosis. He also serves as an expert witness in workers compensation and no fault auto accident cases.
Omar Ahmed M.D. was previously a healthcare investment banker at UBS and Citi, focusing on biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. He maintains a strong interest in the research and development of new therapies and their application in clinical practice.
Omar Ahmed M.D. earned dual undergraduate degrees cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, now known as the Vagelos Life Sciences & Management program. He obtained his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio and graduate degree from Cornell University.
Omar Ahmed M.D. is affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He is certified by the National Registry of Medical Examiners and a USCIS Civil Surgeon.
Leonid Iskhakov, RPA
A talented physician assistant, Mr. Leonid Iskhakov earned his bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the City University of New York, York College. Trained to address myriad medical conditions, he integrates his medical expertise with state-of-the-art technology and strives to provide the highest quality of healthcare.
With more than 16 years of experience, Mr. Iskhakov is here to help patients find real relief from migraines, headaches, dizziness, and movement-related conditions. He has specialized expertise in treating movement disorders and vertigo, and offers advanced therapies such as Botox® for chronic migraines and dystonia, as well as the Emmy facial for facial rejuvenation. He takes the time to listen, understand symptoms, and create care plans that truly work, so patients can feel better, move better, and get back to living their lives.
A caring provider, Mr. Iskhakov works at Northern Medical Care and looks after the population of New York, NY. Seniha Inan M.D.
Seniha Inan M.D. is an experienced provider and she works tirelessly to ensure patients receive the care they need. She communicates with her patients with clarity and ensures they have all the information they need to make the right treatment choices. She is flexible in working with the changing trends in medicine and the healthcare market.
Seniha Inan M.D. received her medical degree from Istanbul University, School of Medicine. She also completed rigorous training in neurophysiology at Istanbul University and a residency in neurology at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. She completed her fellowship training on neuromuscular disease at Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center. Her sound medical knowledge and passion towards her work are commendable and make her a valued asset in her practice.

Eleonora Achildiyeva, NP
Elenora Achildiyeva is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at NeuroCare NY, where she focuses on outpatient neurology. Elenora earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing at New York City College of Technology and then pursued her Master’s in Family Nursing at City University of New York, Lehman College. She began working as a neuroscience nurse at Advanced Medical Center while simultaneously completing her master’s degree. During this time, she obtained certifications from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Elenora has been a nurse for over ten years in the neurological outpatient setting. Following her passion for neurology, she joined Weill Cornell Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital and NeuroCare NY/Apex Neurology as an Advanced Practice Provider. She is an active member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State and the American Academy of Neurology.

Khevsi Plishtiyeva, NP
Khevsi Plishtiyeva is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, at NeuroCare NY where she focuses on outpatient neurology. Khevsi earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing at Adelphi University, and then began working as a nurse care manager handling patient with drug addiction and mental health issues while simultaneously earning her Master’s degree at Long Island University. During this time, she obtained certifications from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Khevsi has been a nurse for 6 years and has always been passionate about neurological care. She then joined Apex Neurology as an Advanced Practice Provider.
Khevsi is dedicated to providing the best service to her patients by listening to her patients and having proper communication and understanding with them. Khevsi always incorporates evidence based practice in every individualized tailored treatment regimen to ensure her patients receive the best care.
